About the role

EC&I Technician- Aldermaston- Permanent

Working as part of the Maintenance team, the EC&I Technician plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of terminal and pipeline assets. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance activities, supporting plant operations, and maximising equipment availability through effective electrical, control, and instrumentation maintenance practices. The role includes fault finding, inspection, testing, calibration and supporting continuous improvement activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all Preventive and Corrective maintenance tasks are suitably planned, actioned and/or mitigated
• Ensure all work is controlled & any associated documentation is suitable & sufficient in order to appropriately minimise risk to people & the environment
• Ensure maintenance is planned and executed in line with company expectations, policies, procedures and guidance
• Support plant operations whilst maximising plant availability through effective best practice maintenance.
• Ensure Overall Equipment Effectiveness is maximised at all times
• Work with or direct contractors where required
• SCADA/DCS/PLC fault finding & repair
• Instrumentation fault finding/repair & calibration
• Inspection & Testing of: SIL/ SIF systems, Hazardous Area Ex equipment
• Assist with the development and organisation of process equipment process and maintenance procedures, documentation and information

About You

You will be a qualified EC&I professional with experience working in a maintenance environment, ideally within a COMAH or other high-hazard industry. You will have strong fault-finding skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability. You will enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
