IT Support Technician- UK wide- Permanent
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support to employees across the business, ensuring the effective, secure, and reliable use of our IT systems and services. Working closely with colleagues throughout the organisation, you will support day-to-day service desk operations, maintain IT equipment and software, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and support systems, software applications and equipment in line with business and security needs.
- Manage the ordering, installation, replacement, setup and build of end-user IT hardware.
- Ensure activities completed are fully compliant with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, particularly safety.
- Act as the escalation point for the Exolum 1st Line Helpdesk.
- Ensure that all completed work is detailed and all relevant databases/documentation are updated.
- Maintain the company starters and leavers process, induction of new employees.
- Assisting with the monthly server patch cycles.
- Administration of the MDM platform.
- Monitor and track end user workstation compliance within endpoint security and patching systems, and issue new software as required.
About You
You are a proactive and customer-focused IT professional with experience supporting users in a fast-paced business environment. You have solid technical knowledge across Microsoft technologies, desktop and laptop hardware, networking, and end-user support, combined with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, you can prioritise workloads, work effectively under pressure, and take ownership of issues through to resolution. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory, networking, and mobile devices is essential, while knowledge of Microsoft 365, virtualisation technologies, endpoint security solutions, and Mobile Device Management platforms would be advantageous. You will also be willing to travel to Exolum sites when required and hold a full UK driving licence.

About the Benefits
- Salary £30,000-£35,000 per annum depending on experience
