Role- NWE PMO Manager
This role will support the delivery and continuous improvement of the NWE Project Management Office (PMO), including governance, reporting, programme controls, financial information, planning support and risk/issue tracking. Maintain accurate project data, dashboards and reports to support management decision making across the NWE investment portfolio. It will support the analysis of project budgets, forecasts, risks and resource information, highlighting variances, trends and areas requiring management attention. Assist the Project Portfolio Managers and Project Managers with annual budget build, five-year look-ahead planning and routine project cost reviews. Support monthly MOD and internal forecast reporting against agreed budgets.
Key Responsibilities
COMPLIANCE
- Manage the application of PMO policies, project governance standards and reporting frameworks in line with Exolum procedures and good practice.
- Assist in maintaining evidence that project reporting, approval routes and governance records are complete, accurate and appropriately controlled.
- Work with NWE Finance, Global PMO and IMO to support accurate CAPEX and Project OPEX reporting and alignment with corporate financial processes.
- Support projects in following the agreed governance lifecycle, escalation routes and approval standards upheld by Exolum.
PROJECTS
- Maintain and improve PMO tools, trackers, dashboards and applications used to monitor project cost, schedule, risk and delivery status.
- Coordinate RAID logs, action trackers and project controls information, ensuring updates are captured, classified and escalated where required.
- Support monitoring of the NWE investment portfolio by collating project progress, expenditure, forecast and resource information.
- Assist with the annual budget build and five-year look-ahead process, ensuring inputs are structured for calendar year and financial year reporting.
- Prepare routine project status and performance reports for internal stakeholders and external stakeholders such as MOD.
- Review project cost forecasts and schedules with Project Managers to help identify variances, missing information and decisions required.
- Support the preparation and quality checking of investment papers by validating actuals, forecasts, budget positions and assumptions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, improve data quality and reduce administrative effort across project delivery processes.
PEOPLE
- Build credible working relationships with Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, Finance, Commercial Development, Global PMO and other business stakeholders.
- Support the project delivery team by providing clear reporting, data coordination and PMO administration in line with company values.
- Maintain regular dialogue with the Commercial & Military Projects Portfolio Manager, NWE Finance and Global PMO to support effective information flow.
Financial Responsibility
- Support the operation of the Exolum NWE Project Management Office in monitoring and reporting annual CAPEX and Commercial Development CAPEX programmes.
- Assist with budget build, forecast updates and reporting packs for submission to management and leadership review forums.
- Work collaboratively with Finance and Project Managers to collate project spend, commitment, forecast and variance information for monthly reporting.
- Maintain project financial data records and highlight inconsistencies, missing approvals or material movements requiring review.

About You
The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering, business, project management, finance or a related discipline; or Equivalent learning, relevant PMO/project controls experience or demonstrable project delivery support experience. Experience in
supporting project management, PMO, project controls, finance reporting or programme administration in an industrial, engineering, construction or similarly regulated environment. Experience preparing project reports, maintaining trackers, supporting budget/forecast routines and coordinating stakeholder inputs. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of project management and PMO processes. Ability to maintain accurate project data, action logs, RAID logs and reporting packs. Able to analyse budget, forecast and schedule information and identify variances or data quality issues. Good written communication skills and able to summarise key messages clearly for management review. Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in the oil industry or a similarly regulated environment, ideally COMAH or high-hazard operations. Exposure to design, procurement, construction, commissioning or handover phases of projects are also desirable.

About the Benefits
- Salary £60,000.00 - £75,000.00 depending on experience
