Management Accountant - London

 

About the role

To maintain accurate and up to date financial accounts across Exolum UK & Ireland and to assist in preparation of period end profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow statements for Exolum group reporting.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Operations:

 

  • Complete period end activities for assigned entities accurately and on time, e.g.
    • Review monthly income statement and balance sheet for each entity
    • Post period end journals as required, e.g. prepayments and accruals
    • Full Analysis for monthly P&L meetings and Tax
    • Liaise with other business and finance teams as required
    • Perform period end close activities in SAP S4 HANA
    • Prepare period end reports
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Effective business partnering, Conducting regular financial reviews with department managers to ensure alignment with budgetary targets and strategic goals
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in preparation of statutory Financial Statements in line with IFRS/ FRS 102 & Group policies.
  • Maintain good internal controls and highlight any gaps to Accounting Manager and/ or Controller.
  • Stay up to date with developments in accounting, e.g. IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards.
  • Assist Finance management with other duties and/ or projects, as required.

 

Financial responsibility:

  • Accurate entity reporting under local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Completion of period end activities in line with reporting timetable.

 

About You

Part-qualified or qualified accounting qualification ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent, prior experience of period end reporting, good understanding of reporting under FRS 102 and/or IFRS, advanced Excel skills, ability to work as part of a team located across multiple locations, ability to work to tight deadlines, pro-active approach to work, good teamwork skills, good communication skills, good organisational skills, and problem solver.

Being degree educated with prior SAP experience is desirable.
