Job Specifics

Location: Backford Terminal

Operating Hours: 24/7

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts

Contract Type: Perm

Salary: £33,343.06 plus Shift Allowance Per annum

Eligibility: Internal 

About the role

As an Operator you will be responsible for controlling and operating the plant and equipment efficiently and safely at the Terminal and associated sites. You will carry out regular checks in accordance with procedures of site pipelines, tanks and other facilities. Report and investigate deviations from normal operating conditions, and deal with basic process upsets. 

About You

With 5 C Grade GCSEs or equivalent.  You will have experience in a regulated industry and understand the reasons for and application of a variety of safety management processes such as Permit to Work, Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessment.

Your skills will include the safe operation of a range of plant/machinery, setting and adjusting controls and starting up a plant and operating machinery, with excellent attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
